TRIBUTE TO DON PRATT LAP FUND ECLIPSES $3,000 FOR FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2019 RACE OF CHAMPIONS ASPHALT MODIFIED SERIES 62 LAP RACE

On Friday, May 31, 2019 Spencer Speedway presented by Wilbert’s U-Pull It in Williamson, N.Y., will present the Tribute to Don Pratt 62 for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series along with the Race of Champions Super Stock Series and the Wilbert’s U-Pull It Four Cylinders.

For the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series event, former Don Pratt friend, crew member and racer, Curt Tooley asked to create a lap program for the event and has brought in over $3,000 additional for the event to be distributed amongst the drivers.

“Don (Pratt) was a close friend,” related Tooley. “When the Lewis family approached everyone in regard to this event and it came together, I thought this would be a great way to pay tribute to my friend. We are all excited about this race and we can’t wait for it to be here.

The race itself will be a 62-lap dash recognizing Pratt’s number and it will be the second race of the Series season. There will be a special trophy presented to the winner recognizing the event, Pratt’s number, from Daryl Lewis, Sr., and the Lewis family.

The Race of Champions Super Stocks and Wilbert’s U-Pull It Four Cylinders will both open their seasons.

The “Food Truck Frenzy” featuring local food trucks and tastes from the area will also make its debut in lieu of traditional concessions.

The gates open at 5:00 pm at Spencer Speedway for fans, with qualifying to follow at 7:15 pm.

Where: Spencer Speedway, Williamson, N.Y.

When: Friday, August 31, 2018. Grandstands open at 5:00 pm, Qualifying at 7:15 pm; all racing to follow.

Tickets: $22 General Admission; $19 for Seniors/Military (65 years and older and Military with proper identification); Children 5-to-15 years of age will be $10; Family Four Pack $56; Children 4-and-under will be Free.
