FIRST 150 FANS TO RECEIVED $2 DISCOUNT ON ADULT TICKET SPENCER SPEEDWAY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

Due to an error in communication Wilbert’s U-Pull It will be giving the first 150 fans through the gate for Friday night’s Maynard Troyer Classic II at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., a $2 discount on an adult admission.

“Simply put there was a mistake,” stated Ron Wilbert from Wilbert’s U-Pull It. “We were able to direct some people to the other outlets who had the tickets, however we felt this was the right move to make for the fans based on our previous sales. We want to thank all of the fans for a tremendous 2021 season.”

Already tabbed “one big night” the Maynard Troyer Classic II has become a must see modified racing event. Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., won the first Maynard Troyer Classic in 2019. Unfortunately the event was not held during the pandemic of 2020. Friday night the race takes center stage with bonus money raised by Kenny Troyer, a ring presentation by Scott Hossfeld to the champion of the event as it brings a conclusion to the exciting 2021 Spencer Speedway season.

The event, with all of the bonuses included, will provide Modified competitors with one of the biggest purses of the season in race where pitstops and tire changes are not required.

Long-time friend of Troyer, Tom Forgione has stepped up to become the Race of Champions Modified Series race title sponsor through his F/A Products Engine and Performance Parts brand. Forgione and the Troyer family will be adding $3,000 to the overall purse as well providing racers other incentives. Anyone who runs a small F/A Products decal on their car at the MTC II will receive a $50 coupon spend at F/A Products. This is the 100th year of business for F/A Products which specializes in performance engine parts (www.faproducts.com).

The bonuses added between Forgione and the Troyer family have been spread out through the field. The race will now pay $6,000-to-win; $2,000 (2nd); $1,350 (3rd); $1125 (4th); $1,100 (5th); $1075 (6th); $1,050 (7th); $1,025 (8th); $900 (9th); $800 (10th); $600 (11th); $500 (12th); $400-to-start.

The lap program which Kenny Troyer has worked diligently on has exceeded $18,000 and is close to $19,000, spanning across the Modifieds and Sportsman and now the “Rocket Performance” 602 Sportsman division for this exciting night of racing.

In addition to the additional awards, the Modified race has been extended by 6 laps to make it a 66-lap race in honor of the speedway’s 66th season. The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series will run a 36-lap race on this evening in addition to the “Rocket Performance” 602 Sportsman Modifieds racing for 16-laps in tribute to Maynard Troyer’s traditional number “6”.

Discount advance tickets remain at Wilbert’s U-Pull It 1272 Salt Road ; Whittaker Ford 3923 NY-104, Willamson. N.Y., and INDYKART Raceway 17 Miracle Drive, Henrietta, NY 14623.

The Ontario and Williamson Fire Departments will once again provide the traditional race track fare. Ribilicious BBQ (www.facebook.com/ribliciousbbq) will be bringing their brand of barbeque to the track. Karma’s Cruisin’ Café (www.karmascruisincafe.com) will be on hand with their unique menu. Mark’s Pizzeria will host a stand to continue providing “the Best Pizza in Rochester”. The ever-popular “Little Red Wagon” will also make it’s first appearance at Spencer, although it is a familiar sight to those who attend the Sodus Microd Club. The Sodus Microd Club will also pitch in with a drink for thirsty event patrons.

The gates open at 5:00 pm at Spencer Speedway for fans, with qualifying to follow at 7:15 pm on Friday, September 3.
