ZANE ZEINER DRIVERS TO VICTORY LANE IN THE CROSBY’S STORES PRESENTS THE TRIBUTE TOMMY DRUAR AND TONY JANKOWIAK SPONSORED BY COCA-COLA 110 AT HOLLAND I

It has been 11-years since Zane Zeiner of Bath, Pa., visited victory lane in a Race of Champions Modified Series event and it was a big one, the Race of Champions. This past Saturday, Zeiner piloted his way to victory lane on the high banks of Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway in the Crosby’s Stores presents the 33rd Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Zeiner worked his past defending race champion, Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, N.Y., on lap 99 and went on to the victory.

“This is a great win for us,” stated Zeiner in victory lane. “We had a great car tonight and things really did go our way. We had a situation with our left front during qualifying that we were able to repair before the qualifying race. In the feature the car was outstanding and the crew gave me everything I needed to go get to victory lane. Andy (Jankowiak) ran me clean and respectful and I’m thankful for that.”

Jack Ely of Wall Township, N.J., led the first 64 laps before Jankowiak took over.

Danny Knoll, Jr., of Amherst, N.Y., worked his way through the field from 10th to finish 2nd. Jankowiak ended up 3rd. Austin Beers of Northampton, Pa., the defending Series champions finished 4th and Ely rounded out the top-five.

Brian Hoffman of South Wales, N.Y., topped the 37-lap Race of Champions Street Stock feature. Tim Welshans of South Wales, N.Y., 2nd. with Nik Welshans of West Seneca, N.Y., 3rd.

Andrew Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, N.Y., topped Nick Robinson of Waverly, N.Y., in Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series competition. Joey Bevacqua of Rome, Pa., finished 3rd.
