RACE OF CHAMPIONS “FAMILY OF SERIES” EVENT AT SHANGRI-LA II SPEEDWAY POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY, JUNE 14

Race of Champions and Shangri-La II Speedway management have mutually agreed to postpone the event rescheduled for Saturday, May 23 due to an ongoing stretch of inclement weather, including predicted precipitation and poor grounds conditions.

The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 14. The start time will remain as released this past week with qualifying beginning at 3:00pm.

“Mother Nature has been relentless during the start of the 2026 season,” stated Joe Skotnicki of Race of Champions. “We know what we are up against and we do consider everything including travel and delays. It is not what we want to do, however, it is the right thing to do and sometimes those decisions are the most difficult.”

“With the cost of travel rising we would rather err on the side of caution than add cost to this element of an event. Sometimes Mother Nature takes that out of our control. We look forward to the event’s rescheduled date.”

Further event details and schedule information will be released in the coming days through Race of Champions and Shangri-La II Speedway social media channels and websites.
